So excited that the Florida heat is back in full swing and I’m able to start spending my weekends at the beach and pool again!! It’s time to get rid of this ghostly skin! I’ve been a Floridian my entire life, so I’ve pretty much mastered packing for the beach/pool. I have a beach bag that permanently sits in my closet and is fully stocked at all times! 🙂 Below are a few items that I recommend for a successful day of fun in the sun!
1. SUN PROTECTION: Sunscreen is obviously a no brainer, but sometimes that’s not enough. The Florida sun is no joke! I have a pretty fair complexion, so I always make sure to also bring a hat, sunglasses, and some sort of beach cover-up to stay protected over the duration of the day. It’s always nice to have an umbrella as a back-up too. Luckily, most of the beaches in Florida have umbrella rentals, so you don’t have to bring your own!
2. STAY HYDRATED: There are a lot of beach bars in Florida, but I would still recommend bringing a cooler. Most of the beach bars won’t allow you to drink outside of their premises. If you’re planning on having “special sodas”, I would also use a yeti or tervis to conceal your beverage and keep it cold! You are technically not allowed to drink on the beach. Also, as an FYI, White Claws are a great daytime drink!
3. BEACH ACCESSORIES: Some of these things might not be necessary, but they are so fun! I absolutely love inflatable koozies..I own too many! It’s also super aggravating to me when my drink gets sandy, so these beach spikers are a must have. FYI-The life is better at the beach bag is for your wet bathing suit. So much cuter than a plastic bag! The best thing is that most of these items can be purchased on Amazon!
