If you’re like me, your dog is pretty much like your child, so we, of course, can’t forget about our fur babies on Christmas! I’ll be the first one to admit that I spoil my dog a little more than I probably should during the Holidays (and basically every other day, haha).

The good news is that it doesn’t take much for my dog Melvin to be happy (I could honestly give him a stick or an empty water bottle, and he would be thrilled), but in the spirit of Christmas, I want to treat him to a couple of his favorite toys and thought I would share them with you guys.

Melvin's favorite dog treats

Melvin honestly will eat ANY treat he can get his paws on, but there are a few kinds that he especially goes crazy over. He basically loves anything from Bocce’s Bakery, including these Santa’s Cookies crunchy dog biscuits made with low-calorie natural ingredients. He also really loves Greenies, which is great because they’re packed with nutrients and also help to clean their teeth.

Like I said, Melvin would literally be happy with ANY toy, but he especially seems to love these hide-and-seek dog puzzle toys that include three plush toys and help to challenge your pup’s mind. We also never travel anywhere without his beloved Benebones that are made with 100% real flavors and last a lot longer than real bones.

We recently bought Melvin a new bed, and he absolutely loves it! He’s actually sleeping in his own bed now (instead of ours, haha), which is a huge win! This pet bed from Amazon is made of the softest faux fur, comes in multiple sizes & colors, and is machine washable. You can check it out here!

I already got my advent calendar this year (I always buy the wine advent calendar from Costco), so of course, I had to get one for Melvin, too! Last year, we bought the dog advent calendar from Costco, and he surprisingly wouldn’t eat the dog treats, so this year, we’re buying this one from Petsmart that includes nine Christmas dog toys and three bags of dog treats.

As far as other dog Christmas gifts, you can’t go wrong with a wreath of tennis balls or a Christmas light dog rope toy, and I also think these crinkle dog toys and naughty/nice stuffed dog toy are so cute!

Some other favorite Christmas gifts for dogs that I’ve gotten for Melvin in the past are this keepsake paw print ornament and a custom stocking from Etsy.
