Flannels are by far one of my favorite things to wear for Fall, so I figured I’d share a few different ways to wear them! You can find flannels just about anywhere, but my go-to places are either Target, American Eagle, or Urban Outfitters. All of these places are super affordable and the quality is amazing. I’ve had some of the same flannels for years!
I usually always size up to a medium in flannels for a looser fit so they can be worn in different ways, and I typically try to find ones that are long enough to wear with leggings. Flannels and leggings are by far my favorite kind of Fall outfit! So cozy!
Most of the outfits below were created with things I already had in my closet, but I will go ahead and link similar options incase you want to recreate these looks!
Some of my fave flannels:
Pair with leggings for the perfect weekend look
As said above, this is my favorite way to wear a flannel and is usually my go-to weekend/travel look. This particular flannel is from Target and is so soft and comfy. I’ve already worn it quite a few times! I sized up to a medium so it would be long enough to wear with leggings, and I also wanted a looser fit so I could use it to layer.
Tie it in the front for a cropped look
We had a few cool days in Florida in the beginning of October, but back to warmer temps unfortunately. This is probably how I’ll be rocking flannels for the next month or so. As said above, make sure to size up so you’re able to tie it in the front! Looks really cute with jeans and booties too!
Flannels are a great layering piece!
I recently visited Colorado and the weather was all over the place. Warm during the day and cooler at night, so layering was key! The tank I’m wearing is from Abercrombie and is seriously so soft and comfy. I wear it all the time! It also comes in short sleeve and long sleeve versions that I will link below!
Dress it up with a leather skirt for an edgy look
This outfit has everything I love for Fall…plaid, leather, booties, and tights, yes please! This outfit is so cute for date night or a girls night out, and could also be worn to work depending on your dress code. Add a pop of color with a Fall hat or booties to break up the neutrals!
Layer with a sweater for a cute work look
You can wear this flannel with probably any sweater you have in your closet, but I would recommend layering it with a sweater that is a little more fitted and slightly cropped. Side note: I just picked up this crocodile printed purse from Francesca’s and absolutely love it! Also comes with a long strap so you can wear it as a cross body.
