Swimsuits have basically become my summer uniform this year! We are still social distancing and trying to avoid heavily populated places like restaurants and bars, so the beach has become our new weekend hangout (unless it’s too busy). We have gone to the beach more this summer than we’ve gone in the past year, which is sad considering we only live 15 mins away, but has also been so fun and has helped to make the current situation a little more bearable. Anyways, thought I would treat myself to some new swimmies this summer and wanted to share some of my faves with you guys!
Aerie
Aerie has by far been my favorite place to shop for swim this summer! They have so many cute styles and fun prints, and always have some kind of sale going on!
Let’s talk fit…I’m pretty consistently a size medium in any style top that Aerie carries. The only bottom I purchased this summer (because I love it so much) is the high cut cheeky bottom. (When you find something that fits great, buy it in every color!) Pretty self explanatory..is both high cut and cheeky..but it is also high waisted and fits amazzzzinggg (meaning it’s hugs in all the right areas, but doesn’t pinch at the waistline). High waisted swimsuits usually feel like a diaper to me (especially when they get wet), so I was super excited to find one that is comfortable and stays fitted all day long!

Amazon is sometimes hit or miss for swim, but I was able to find a couple of cute swimsuits this summer that are surprisingly good quality.
I’m sure you’ve probably seen the pom pom bikini pictured on the left a million times on IG. I know I have, so I obviously had to try it for myself and wanted to give you guys an honest review! I bought a few different versions of this swimsuit and the fit definitely varies by brand. The one I linked below fits the best (for me) and comes in a ton of different prints. Also wearing a size medium for reference.
Love love love the one piece in the middle! It’s probably going to give me a weird tan (good thing I don’t really tan), but it fits amazing and comes in a ton of fun color options! Wearing a size medium.
The swimsuit on the right is super cute, but the bottom pinches at the waistline a little, so it was not my favorite. Would recommend giving it a try though if you’re looking for a swimsuit with a little more coverage! I purchased a size medium and it also comes in a variety of prints.
Summersalt
I haven’t purchased a swimsuit from Summersalt yet, however they are probably the cutest swimmies I’ve ever seen, so I thought I would share. The ruffle detailing, tie straps, feminine prints..I’ll take one of each please! They are a little bit of an investment, but I’ve seen a lot of great reviews on IG, so I bet they’re worth every penny! Will definitely make the plunge at some point and buy one! Sharing some of my faves below.
