But first…Hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner when I feel like we just celebrated Christmas!
For some reason, Valentine’s Day has always been one of my least favorite holidays and I honestly couldn’t really tell you why. I didn’t have a bad experience in the past and it’s not because I don’t believe in love (I’m happily married). I’ve just always felt like it was cheesy and overrated whether I had someone to spend it with or not. Galentine’s day on the other hand, I’m always down to celebrate! Which do you prefer?
Even though I’ve never really cared for it, my husband and I try to do something if we can, whether that’s going out or staying at home. It’s almost always the latter! We did attempt to go out to a fancy dinner once and although we had a nice time, it was extremely crowded, expensive, and took forever. That was the last time we did that!
My husband and I have been together for six years, and although I can’t remember every Valentine’s Day we celebrated together I think my favorite was probably when he bought a bunch of seafood and cooked dinner for me at home. Much more my style!
