Another HOW TO coming atcha! Sharing 5 ways to wear button down shirts for women for every occasion. A button down is one of the things EVERYONE needs in their closet! It’s so easy to throw on for a comfy, but cute and classic look, and they never go out of style. I own quite a few and have worn them so many times, and in a ton of different ways.
I recently snagged this seersucker button down from Amazon for $30 and absolutely love it! It’s lightweight and breathable, the quality is great, and it’s long enough to wear with so many different things. When you can wear something as both a dress and a top, I consider that a win!
Sharing a couple of different ways to style this top for every occasion from the beach to work below, and the best part is that it is paired with things that I already own! Anyone else get so much satisfaction from reinventing an outfit without having to really buy anything? I know I do!
How to wear button down shirts for women five ways:
Wear as a beach coverup
This particular button down is so perfect for the beach or pool! It’s lightweight and breathable, can be used for sun protection, and is just the right length to use as a cover up. Seersucker is always really fun for Spring and summer too!
Tie in the front for a casual look
I think this might be my favorite way to wear button down shirts for women out of them all! This button down is long enough and has enough material to tie in the front, and you can also roll up the sleeves for the perfect casual weekend look. Pair with your favorite shorts and sandals, and you’re all set for Spring/Summer!
Pair with jeans for casual Friday
This is definitely my go-to look for casual Fridays, and is always what I seem to grab out of my closet when I want to be comfy. Dress down with mules or sneaks for a casual look, or dress up with your favorite pair of skinny jeans, a blazer, and heels for the cutest happy hour look!
Wear with leggings for a comfy travel look
The best thing about this particular button down is that it’s legging length! Wear with your favorite pair of leggings (mine are the Spanx faux leather leggings), sneaks, and a jean jacket for a comfy travel look!
Dress up with black pants for work
It’s crazy how versatile this button down is! I started this post with it used as beach coverup, and now I’m showing how to wear it for work! Pair with your favorite pair of dress pants and either heels or mules for a cute workwear look!!
